RESUME

Summary:

I am very familiar with the construction world and have plenty of experience helping tradesmen with a broad number of tasks. I myself have a general understanding of most trades and can adapt my skills and knowledge to fit your specific needs. I have the ability to do skilled tasks with a little bit of guidance and would be a perfect helping hand for a handyman or contractor, given that I am nearly a handyman and just need a little more experience. I am looking to further sharpen my skills and help make your job easier while doing so.

Experience: 

Construction:

My construction journey has been diverse, allowing me to gain a broad understanding of various trade jobs.

  • Landscaping & Remodels: The majority of my experience has come from thousands of hours of remodeling projects and landscaping.
    • Fences: I have experience building various fences with various primary materials ranging from wood to metal to cement.
    • Lawns and sprinklers: I have worked on several sprinkler systems, from digging the trenches for the pipe to gluing it and setting up automatic timers.
    • Landscape Lighting: I have worked on a considerable amount of lighting for landscaping, which has given me the basics of electrical and automatic timing systems with light sensors.
    • Demolition: I have helped in small-scale demolition efforts. Often, in the remodels I have helped work on, it has been necessary to take down walls, dismantle flooring, and sometimes even entire buildings like the barn, which I helped demolish my first year out of high school.
    • Bathrooms: I have hands-on experience renovating four bathrooms, three residential and one commercial. I was a part of the entire process, from framing, sheetrock, plumbing, and electrical to final touches such as paint texture and trim.
    • Gazebos & Pergolas: I have worked on several of both and was a part of the entire process, from pouring cement pads, installing brick, framing, roofing, electrical, and painting.
    • Kitchens: I have worked on several kitchens and can complete tasks such as installing tile, trim, and crown molding alone.
    • Labor: I am no stranger to manual labor. I have spread gravel, chopped wood, mixed cement by hand, and sanded countless boards to restore for vintage projects; I am not shy of hard work.

Graphic Design:

  • I took two years of graphic design in high school and have continued to develop my skills outside of my courses by doing commissions for local businesses and art projects for my enjoyment. Still, I would rather have my works speak for themselves, so I created the projects section of the page so that you can judge my work for yourself.

Learning: I love learning and am open to learning opportunities, doing things I have never done and adding them to my list of experiences and skills.
